The Hertfordshire company which created the masterplan and designed the structures for the Harry Potter experience at the Warner Brothers Studios in Leavesden is under new management.

KMG Partnership, based in Abbots Langley, is now run by director Alan Elsdon, with associate directors Mark Fairhurst and Martin Dalby, following the retirement of the previous management team. KMG were the architects and structural engineers on the Warner Brothers Studio “The Making of Harry Potter” tour, which features a walk-through tour with sets, animatronics and costume and prop displays as well as a studio theatre, cafe, retail areas and offices.

KMG was founded in 1986 and has experience in a wide range of sectors including infrastructure and rail, leisure and media, distribution, commercial and retail, and residential. The practice has specialist expertise in industrial architecture and structural engineering.

Current major projects include food distribution depots, cold stores and warehouses in the north and south west of England, the Isle of Man and  Belfast. The practice is also working on a 14,000 sq ft pharmaceutical facility extension in Denmark, concrete work for a £140m major mixed-use development in Knightsbridge, and a science and technology park development and purpose-built laboratory for Envirolab in Hattersley.

The KMG Partnership is part of the RSK Group.
