“We are very excited to be delivering this new office development in Bristol”

The Distillery, Bristol

Emerging from behind the construction hoardings is Bristol’s latest new office building known as The Distillery. Situated in the Glassfields area of Temple Quarter Enterprise Zone, The Distillery, commissioned by Royal London Asset Management, is getting ready to welcome occupiers in summer 2020.

The Distillery is comprised of two buildings totalling 92,000 sq ft with a top height of nine storeys, located just five minutes from Bristol Temple Meads station and on the Avon Cycleway.

The design draws on the site’s history as the former glassmaking district, with its name coming from the discovery of centuries old gin bottles in the ground. Not only is this borne out in name but in features as well – the living wall will contain over 15 gin botanicals, the copper design touches represent a gin still, and the piping mirrors the distillery process.

Commenting on their new building in Bristol, Stephanie Hacking, Royal London Asset Management said: “We are very excited to be delivering this new office development in Bristol.  We are developing speculatively, showing our confidence in the strength of the Bristol economy and the dynamic office market.  We will be delivering a unique mix of buildings centered around a new vibrant central square that will strongly appeal to local businesses.”

Commenting on the area surrounding The Distillery, Andy Smith, Knight Frank said: “The surrounding area is currently undergoing a huge transformation and fundamental change that will cement it as one of Bristol’s prime office areas. The Glassfields site will see the development of a new city square where people will be able to relax and enjoy during the summer months. As a micro-environment, this site will feel new, bright and safe.”

The Distillery will be available for occupation in summer 2020.
