A recent Business Leader South West Skills Survey in conjunction with Weston College revealed that the top training need for 2021 is managing people.

Of the respondents, 35.7% made managing people their top training theme, and 59.7% had it in the top three (of ten) training themes.

In response to this, Weston College is launching a new fast-track team leading ILM Certificate course.

The new course will seek to develop leaders and managers, with key aspects including:
• Learning how to develop the core skills to lead a team successfully
• Understanding different motivational techniques to get the best from people
• Developing the confidence to tackle difficult issues
• Discovering how to develop your leadership skills.

The ILM approved course is assessed via coursework, with one assessment per week, for the six-week course.

Weston College Principal and Chief Executive, Dr Paul Phillips CBE, comments: “We decided to launch this fast-track new course to meet the changing needs of businesses.

“We have a track record of helping companies of all sizes, and this further cements our position as the go-to training provider.

“This course is particularly valuable for businesses, as you can train your managers in six weeks, and this can have a real positive impact on your team.

“We are in constant communication with our employer network, and our aim is to be there to support them, whether that be with recruitment, training or even accessing funding.”

This course is available to take online, and at a discounted price of £149.
