Transatlantic law firm, Womble Bond Dickinson (WBD) have been announced as the latest category sponsor for the 2019 South West Business Leader Awards.
WBD was created in 2017, following the merger of UK-based Bond Dickinson LLP, and US-based Womble, Carlyle, Sandridge & Rice LLP.
The law firm has 27 locations across the UK and US, and serve corporate, individual and non-profit clients across every business sector.
As a major international firm, WBD will be the sponsor for the Manufacturing Business of the Year Award.
The award is open to manufacturers of all sizes in the South West, operating in any sector and in any part of the supply chain.
The Business Leader Awards’ independent panel of judges will be looking for an overview of the business and its sectors; growth statistics; examples of investment; information on products/services brought to market; and a proven commitment to innovation.
Stephen Dilley, Partner at WBD, commented: “Our firm has served many of the most significant manufacturing regions in the UK and US for generations, helping transform the global marketplace by providing business-focused results across a full range of legal issues. As the transatlantic law firm close to home advising clients in the South West for over 130 years, we’re delighted to support this year’s Business Leader Awards which celebrate the enormous talent we have here and recognise the manufacturing sector as a key part of our regional identity. The event presents the perfect opportunity to be supporting our clients and the wide breadth of businesses driving the sector and our dynamic region forward.”
Andrew Scott, founder of the Business Leader Awards commented: “I am delighted to announce that Womble Bond Dickinson have come onboard to sponsor the Manufacturing Business of the Year Award.
“WBD are one of the largest law firms in Bristol and the UK and are well-known internationally. Having their brand associated with the award will only bring more prestige to the eventual winner this September.”
