Ashton Gate Stadium will host the Business Showcase South West event which celebrates innovation, creativity and enterprise in the region.

Delegates from across the South West will take part in expert-led workshops from Google as well as seminars, networking and keynote sessions on Wednesday 17th May from 10am to 4pm.

There will also be a business exhibition at the event.

Jordan Daykin, who will be hosting the event this year, gained investment of £80,000 on the hit BBC show Dragons Den back in 2014 from Deborah Meaden – at just 18 years old.

The serial young entrepreneur has now grown a garden shed invention into a business worth over £14m and with 28 employees.

Jamie Breese, a Bristol-based entrepreneur and broadcaster who founded the showcase in April 2014, said: “I want the Showcase to be a business-packed experience that delegates will feel compelled to stay at all day long.

“Our delegates enjoy a free event, multiple and useful seminars, expert workshops and inspiring keynotes which help solve the problems and challenges in today’s business world. I expect delegates from across the region who will see this as the stay-all-day, must-go-to, business-driven networking mega-fest!”

Previous speakers at the event include The Apprentice’s Baroness Karen Brady, celebrity chef Levi Roots and renowned businessman Gerald Ratner.

The event offers attendees free travel, parking, a professional headshot and a breakfast networking opportunity before the main event starts in the new sports bar.
